  1. Deana,

I'm sorry to be responding to the comment you left in my blog so late, I just saw it a few minutes ago. In response to your question, the URL for the wiki my students created is
    http://uvmglobalculture.wetpaint.com.

Now, bear with them, English is their second language!

    Thank you!

  2. Cesar,

Love it! I teach ESOL kids as well, so no worries! Give your kids a big pat on the back from me! :)

  3. Cesar,

I did respond to your comment on my Voice Thread, but I discovered it's not easy to find additional comments by the same user. If you look at the very bottom, you can see the bar is separated... the last piece is my response to you. :)

  4. Deana,

First off, I really like your blog page, specifically how you embedded the voice thread right in your blog. That is very cool.

I have this problem with my sixth graders too. Either they are super tired at the end of the day, or they are so hyper they can't stay focused on anything. I suppose I am no different. I have a million things going on in my head too and I am anxious to get out of work. This is a challenge for many teachers.

I am always irritated, however, to see all the advantages students in our schools have today, when I see poor inner-city schools, or schools in Africa where they have 90 kids in a single room with a dirt floor and a handheld chalk board about the size of a clipboard. We have all the latest techno gadgets in our schools and still our students can barely make it from class to class with out falling asleep on the way.
